James Lambert named as man found in Thames Ditton ditch

A man whose body was found in a ditch in Surrey has been named as James Lambert, who had been reported as missing to the Metropolitan Police.

The body of the 33-year-old local man was found by police at Imber Cross, Thames Ditton, on Friday morning.

Police were making inquiries as to his whereabouts when they found the body. He was reported missing on 14 November.

Two local men, aged 46 and 35, who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been released without charge.

A post-mortem examination carried out on Saturday at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford was not able to establish a cause of death.

Further tests will be carried out.

A police spokeswoman said the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team was continuing to investigate Mr Lambert's death.
