Guildford delivery van driver hijacked by gang

A delivery van driver was hijacked by four men who cut in front of his vehicle and blocked his path in Guildford.

The man was driving the brown liveried Mercedes from the Cathedral Hill Industrial Estate when he was robbed at about 16:45 BST on Wednesday.

A white Mercedes Sprinter van cut in front of him, forcing him to a halt.

A man got out, threatened the driver and forced him to the floor, before taking the van.

The thief then drove the stolen van to an industrial unit on the Ladymead Retail Park where the gang took parcels, some containing jewellery, and made off.

The thieves are described as four white men. Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses.
