A couple found murdered at their home in Surrey have been formally identified by police.

Patrick, 55, and Gillian Kettyle, 54, were found at The Copse, in Fetcham, at about 00:30 GMT on 27 November following a report of an assault.

A post-mortem examination concluded the couple, who were in their 50s, died from stab wounds.

Lithuanian builder Viktoras Bruzas, 38, from Walton-on-Thames, has been charged with their murder.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at the Old Bailey in London on 19 December.

A statement from the family of Mr and Mrs Kettyle said: "Pat and Gilly were a wonderful couple who loved each other dearly.

"They were the most fantastic parents and their children will feel their loss terribly."

It added that Mrs Kettyle's mother had "suffered the most horrendous loss of one of her children".

"It is true to say that the light in our world has been dimmed with their loss."
