Detectives investigating a serious sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl in Littlehampton have made a fresh appeal.

The girl was assaulted on a grass area just off Beach Crescent on 19 July after she refused the advances of a man who had offered her money for sex.

Sussex Police said officers had returned to the scene in the hope of jogging people's memories.

They have issued an e-fit of an Asian man, who is about 19 years of age and about 5ft 8in tall.

A 17-year-old boy who was arrested in connection with the attack has been released without charge.
