Officers investigating the attempted murder of a man who was shot through his own front door in West Sussex have arrested two men.

The 29-year-old victim suffered minor injuries to his leg when he was shot in Park Way, Crawley, on 3 August.

Police said he slammed the door on his attacker before two shots were fired.

The men, aged 30 and 48, were arrested early on Wednesday during planned searches of two homes in Birmingham, and are being questioned in Brighton.

Four men arrested in connection with the incident earlier this month were released on bail.
