Armed robbers raid petrol station in Piltdown, Sussex

Two armed robbers raided a petrol station in East Sussex, prompting a police appeal for information.

The men, each carrying a knife, entered the Piltdown Service Station on the A272 at 2000 BST on Saturday.

The robbers threatened the lone staff member before running away with £200 from the till and a quantity of cigarettes.

Sussex Police said the pair, who were wearing dark clothing, made off in a vehicle parked nearby.
