Man charged after motorist dies in East Sussex crash

A man has been charged with causing the death of an 84-year-old woman motorist after two cars collided in East Sussex.

Thelma Barker, from Horsham, was airlifted to hospital from the scene at Goat Corner in Hindleap Lane, near Forest Row, on 25 June but died later.

The 50-year-old man, from Wallington, south London, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and by careless or inconsiderate driving.

He has been bailed to appear at Lewes Magistrates' Court on 13 October.
