A couple accused of racially abusing a woman as she travelled on a bus with her two young children have asked to have their case heard at crown court.

Peter, 70, and Jennifer Ford, 67, of Wellington Road, Brighton, are charged with racially aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress in June.

They have not yet entered a formal plea to the charge.

The pair are due to appear at Brighton magistrates on 25 November for a committal hearing.
