The horse was found dead in a field in Alfriston with multiple injuries
A horse has been found dead in East Sussex in suspicious circumstances.
The animal was found in a field off Kings Ride, Alfriston, at about 0945 BST. A vet confirmed the horse died from multiple injuries.
The incident is being investigated by Sussex Police and the RSPCA. They said they were unaware of any other incidents in the area.
Anyone with any information about the circumstances surrounding the death of the horse is asked to contact police.
