Teenager questioned over spate of car fires in Hastings

Police investigating a series of car fires in Hastings have bailed an 18-year-old man.

The teenager was arrested in the Old Town in the early hours on suspicion of arson. He was questioned and bailed pending further inquiries and tests.

There have been several suspicious car fires in the area in the past week, causing thousands of pounds of damage.

The most recent was on Tuesday in Croft Road, when two vehicles were badly damaged.

Four cars were targeted the previous day in the Belmont Road, Clive Vale and Broomgrove Road area.
