Glamour model Katie Price has been banned from driving after receiving three points on her licence.

Crawley Magistrates' Court was told Price was caught on speed camera travelling at 83mph in a 70mph zone on the A23 in West Sussex on 10 December.

Price, who did not attend the hearing, pleaded guilty to the charge in her absence and was given three points.

The model, of Woldingham, Surrey, now has 13 points on her licence and was disqualified for six months.

Price, also known as Jordan, was ordered to pay a £1,000 fine with £100 costs.

Her solicitor, Robin Sellers, told the court she was being pursued by photographers when she was caught speeding along the 70mph road.

"About nine minutes before she was caught, she pulled over and in a state of exasperation asked that another enforcement officer could have a word with a couple of members of the paparazzi who were following her," he said.

But deputy district Judge Ken Goldspring said: "It goes with the territory."

In September Price was found guilty of not being in proper control of her pink horsebox after veering into another lane in Sussex in February.
