Three held over suspected drug death in Worthing

Three men have been arrested after a man died and a woman was left fighting for her life following suspected drug overdoses on Christmas Day.

Sussex Police said the pair, both 56, were discovered after ambulance crews were called to a flat in Pavilion Road, Worthing, West Sussex.

The man was pronounced dead. The woman is in a critical condition in hospital.

The three men, aged 36, 37 and 46, were held on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out later this week.
