Telephone exchange equipment taken in Sussex raid

Computer and electrical equipment worth thousands of pounds has been stolen from a Sussex telephone exchange.

The raid in London Road, Ashington, took place between 1730 GMT on Monday and 0730 GMT on Tuesday.

Five BT Openreach testers, valued at £1,600 each, a computer, a laptop and other pieces of electrical equipment - valued at £13,000 - were also taken.

Police are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious, or have been offered equipment, to contact them.
