Man charged with stab murder in Eastbourne, Sussex

A man has been charged with the murder of a man who was killed during a confrontation in an East Sussex town.
Mark John Watson, 48, of no fixed address, is due to appear at Eastbourne Magistrates' Court on Thursday morning.
Sussex Police said he had been charged with the murder of Alexandre Sokolnikov, a 39-year-old man, also of no fixed address.
Police were called to Ceylon Place, in Eastbourne, at 2100 GMT on Monday to reports a man had been injured.
Mr Sokolnikov, believed to be of Russian origin, died shortly afterwards.
A post-mortem examination carried out on Wednesday found he died of stab wounds to the heart.
