Man questioned over rape in Brighton park

A 19-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating the rape of a teenage girl in Brighton.

Sussex Police said he was arrested at an address in the city on suspicion of rape, and that he was being held for questioning at Brighton Custody Centre.

The 17-year-old girl was dragged into a park and raped while walking up Dyke Road at about 0130 GMT on 15 February.

Police increased patrols of the area following the attack and urged women to be vigilant when walking alone.
