Man remanded over stab murder in Eastbourne, Sussex

A man has been remanded in custody charged with fatally stabbing a man in an East Sussex seaside town.

Alexandre Sokolnikov, of no fixed address, suffered stab wounds to the heart during a fracas in Ceylon Place, Eastbourne, on Monday.

Mark John Watson, 48, of no fixed address, appeared at Eastbourne Magistrates' Court charged with murder.

No plea was entered and he was remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on Monday.
