Two elderly people treated after Hastings house fire


Two elderly people have been treated in hospital after a house fire in Hastings.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to the blaze at a three-storey property in Manor Road at about 0435 GMT.

Crews spent about 90 minutes tackling the fire, which started on the ground floor and spread to the first floor.

The pair were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation. An investigation is being carried out.
