Man steals cash from Hove bank


A man in his late 50s who claimed to have a weapon in his jacket has stolen cash from a Hove bank.

Sussex Police said the man ordered staff to hand over money at the Halifax in George Street at about 1400 GMT on Friday.

He put an unknown sum of money into an orange carrier bag and then fled the scene.

Officers said staff did not see a weapon and no-one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is white and was wearing a light coloured baseball cap and a bomber jacket.
