A farm worker has denied murdering a fellow Romanian whose body was found in a plant nursery in West Sussex.

Gheorghe Badea, 53, of Batchmere, appeared at Lewes Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing.

The body of Tasin Sugaip, 45, was discovered at a nursery in Batchmere, near Chichester, on Boxing Day last year.

Mr Badea's trial at the same court has been scheduled for 16 August and is expected to last 10 days.

Mr Sugaip had been visiting the UK from his home in Tulcea, in the east of Romania.

A post-mortem examination found he died from multiple stab wounds to the chest.
