Brighton flat murder probe after woman's body found

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a woman was found in a flat in Brighton.

Sussex Police said officers found the body after being called to an incident at an address in Upper Lewes Road at about 1420 BST.

A man was arrested at the scene and taken into custody for questioning, a police spokesman said.

The woman who died, who was in her 50s, has not yet been named. The spokesman said inquiries were "ongoing".
