Death of woman in Brighton 'not suspicious'

The death of a woman found in a flat in Brighton is no longer being treated as suspicious, Sussex Police have said.

The body of Karen Simmons, 50, was found at the property in Upper Lewes Road on Monday afternoon.

Officers said post-mortem results were inconclusive and further tests would be carried out, but they did not show any evidence of a suspicious death.

A 50-year-old Brighton man arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder has been released without charge.
