Three arrested after man shot with air rifle in Hove

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences after a 22-year-old man was shot in Hove.

Armed officers and a police helicopter went to Buckley Close at 2215 BST on Sunday after reports the victim had been hit by an air rifle pellet.

Sussex Police said he suffered a "deep wound" to his collarbone.

A 20-year-old man from Hove and two men, aged 18 and 23 from Brighton, have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Police seized an air rifle and are appealing for anyone with further information to come forward.
