Crews tackle large fire at Crawley flat block

Six fire crews tackled a large fire at a flat block in Crawley in West Sussex.

A total of 38 firefighters, including eight wearing breathing apparatus, were called to the blaze at the two-storey property in Capricorn Close at about 11:10 BST.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said no-one was hurt in the fire, which had been put out by 12:30 BST.

The blaze is thought to have been started accidentally, a spokeswoman for the fire service said.
