Cross in Hand crash driver named as Scott Swift

An East Sussex man who died in a crash between a car and a van near Cross in Hand has been named.

Scott Swift, 42, from Lewes was driving a Volkswagen Golf which was in collision with a Fort Transit van travelling in the opposite direction.

The accident happened on the B2102 at the junction with Warren Lane at about 15:30 BST last Thursday.

Sussex Police said they wanted to trace the driver of a black Mini who may have witnessed the collision.

Police said the crash happened after the driver's Volkswagen Golf and the Mini Cooper both overtook a third car between Cross in Hand and Blackboys.
