Man held after two injured in Burgess Hill stabbing

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after two men were stabbed in West Sussex.

Police were called to Station Road, in Burgess Hill, at about 21:00 BST on Wednesday to a report of a disturbance.

They found one man outside a property suffering from a stab wound to his chest and another man inside with a stab wound to his groin.

The arrested man, who is 23 and from Burgess Hill, was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody.

Both victims were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Det Insp Tracy Edwards said it was understood all the men were known to each other.
