Eastbourne horse rider who died after fall is named

A woman who died after falling from her horse on a road in East Sussex has been named as Caitriona O'Leary.

The 28-year-old rider, from Tideswell Road, Eastbourne, lost control of her horse after it was startled on the A271 near Hailsham on 28 May.

The horse began galloping along Under Road, Magham Down, at 18:00 BST.

Ms O'Leary was taken to hospital in London with serious injuries but died on 2 June. Sussex Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
