Worthing man's death not suspicious: Sussex Police

The death of a West Sussex man is now not being treated as suspicious, police have said.

The body of Lee Matthews, 46, was found in a house in Ivydore Avenue in Worthing on 9 July.

A 47-year-old woman who was arrested at the scene for the unlawful supply of controlled substances will not face charges, Sussex Police said.

Tests following a post-mortem examination showed that no drugs were involved in Mr Matthews' death.

A date for an inquest has not been fixed.

Officers had contact with the pair the night before and the case was referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, which decided there was no case to be investigated.
