Man held over homeless Lea Williams murder

A 44-year-old man has been arrested over the death of a homeless man whose body was found next to a pitch-and-putt course in Hove.

Lea Williams was found dead near Western Esplanade on Hove seafront on 11 February.

The 45-year-old died from severe injuries to his face and head caused by a heavy object, a post-mortem examination found.

Mr Williams had also suffered multiple fractures to his ribs.

The man arrested on suspicion of murder has links to Brighton, Sussex Police said.
