Nurse charged over homeless man Lea Williams murder

A nurse has been charged in connection with the murder of a homeless man near Hove seafront.

The body of Lea Williams, 45, was found with severe head and facial injuries near the pitch-and-putt course at Western Esplanade on 11 February.

Lauren Bishop, 36, from Seaford, East Sussex, was charged with conspiracy to murder.

She was detained in custody and is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court later.

Michael John Clark, 52, of Trafalgar Street, Brighton and Edward Phillips, 44, who has links to Brighton, have already been charged with murder.

Mr Williams died from severe injuries to his face and head caused by a heavy object, according to a post-mortem examination.

The 45-year-old had also suffered multiple fractures to his ribs.
