A Sussex prisoner who went on the run a week ago and "should not be approached" is now believed to be in Kent.

Lucas Lamb, 31, walked out of Ford Prison, Sussex on 5 September. He was jailed for grievous bodily harm with intent in 2012.

Sussex Police said he had particular links to Strood and was thought to be in the Medway area at the moment.

The force urged anyone who saw him or who knew where he was to contact police immediately on 999.

Lamb also has links to Hailsham and Eastbourne.
