By-law change on Hastings seafront and promenade

Dozens of by-laws dating back to the 1800s could be revoked in Hastings in an attempt to simplify existing laws.

Two new by-laws, which would cover the seafront and promenade, would replace these and deal with activities such as skateboarding, selling goods and public shows.

These will replace older by-laws, including offences such as hawking and touting for boats.

A public consultation on the proposed change has been launched.
