Sixteen arrests after Brighton, Eastbourne and Liverpool drugs raids

Sixteen people have been arrested after heroin with a street value of about £600,000 was seized during drugs raids by Sussex Police.

About 100 police officers raided nine properties in Brighton, one in Eastbourne and another in Liverpool in Merseyside on Tuesday.

About £50,000 and 6kg (13lb) of heroin, mixed with a cutting agent, was found.

Eleven men and four women were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply heroin.

A woman in Brighton was arrested on suspicion of obstructing police.
