Two arrested after Teesside woman's neck is slashed

Two people have been arrested after a woman was found with her neck slashed in a house on Teesside.

The 26-year-old victim was found at an address in Charter House Street, Hartlepool, on Saturday morning and was taken to North Tees Hospital.

Her injuries are serious but not life-threatening, Cleveland Police said.

A 31-year-old local woman and a 27-year-old woman from Harrogate have been arrested on suspicion of assault. Police are appealing for information.
