A Teesside man has been found dead under a hotel balcony in Thailand.
The body of James Smith, of Hartlepool, was discovered in the grounds of a hotel near Bangkok's Suvarnabhumni Airport on Monday.
It is believed that the 30-year-old fell from the balcony and local police are trying to establish whether or not the death is suspicious.
The Foreign Office said Mr Smith's next of kin had been informed and it was giving them "consular assistance."
