Man arrested after body of woman found in Marton

A man has been arrested after the body of a woman was found at a house in the Marton area of Middlesbrough.

The woman, who has not yet been named, was discovered by police officers who were called to the house in Sunstar Grove early on Friday.

A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said the cause of death was as yet unknown and a post-mortem examination was due to be carried out.

She said a 45-year-old man had been arrested pending further inquiries.
