Crews tackle Hartlepool recycling plant fire

Dozens of firefighters were called to tackle a blaze at a recycling plant in Hartlepool.

Cleveland Fire Brigade said it received reports of the fire at Cleveland Waste Paper, in Mainsforth Terrace, shortly before 1800 BST.

It sent 11 appliances to the scene of the fire. There was a large amount of smoke and police closed roads around the scene.

There were no further details about the cause of the fire.
