Crews tackle fire in vacant Middlesbrough flats

Dozens of firefighters have tackled a blaze in an unoccupied block of flats in Middlesbrough.

Cleveland Fire Brigade was called at 1330 GMT to Frome House, Grove Hill, and 30 firefighters were involved.

The flats were well alight but the blaze was brought under control after about 30 minutes. An investigation will be carried out into how it started.

Cleveland Police said a stretch of Keith Road near the scene of the fire was closed.
