Teenager robbed and attacked in Ormesby street

A teenager needed stitches in his face after he was beaten up and robbed in a Teesside street.

The 19-year-old was in Mitford Close, Ormesby, in the early hours of Monday when he was attacked.

Cleveland Police said he was hit in the face and his assailant and two other youths stole beer cans he was carrying.

The man was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he received stitches. Police are appealing for witnesses.
