Rail line death in Teesside is 'unexplained'


The death of a man whose body was found by the side of the railway in Teesside, is being treated as unexplained.

The body was discovered by a member of the public near to Seaton Carew station at about midday on Tuesday. Cleveland Police and British Transport Police attended the scene.

Officers on the ground were helped to locate the man by air support. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said inquiries into the death were ongoing.

British Transport Police said the death was being treated as unexplained.
