A campaign is under way to save a village youth centre in Lingdale threatened with closure under local authority cuts.
Redcar and Cleveland councillors are expected to make a decision on its future next week.
The Labour led authority has to save more than £25m over the next four years.
People in the village have begun a campaign online and have displayed banners outside the centre.
The centre has recently had an £18,000 kitchen fitted. It also has a gym, games room and TV.
'No decision made'
Youth leaders said £2,000 of funds for the gym came from the Youth Opportunity Fund (YOF), through Redcar and Cleveland Council.
Campaigners say there have been suggestions that the centre could be housed in another building.
But they believe an alternative building would not accommodate the amount of equipment they have.
Councillor Ian Jeffrey, cabinet member for youth services, said no decision had been made on the future of the centre.
He said the cost of running the existing youth centre was "quite large".
