Pregnant girl struck by police car in Stockton 'stable'

A pregnant teenager who was struck by a police car responding to an emergency call is in a "stable" condition in hospital.
The 16-year-old was on Yarm Road, Stockton, Teesside, on Saturday when she was hit by the marked car.
She was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees with a suspected broken pelvis.
The case has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
Anyone who witnessed the crash has been urged to contact Cleveland Police.
