Loftus Development Trust secures £50,000 for jobless

Job seekers on Teesside have been given a boost after securing a £50,000 grant.

The Loftus Development Trust was awarded the money to fund its work helping jobless people find employment or training opportunities.

The funding, from the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE), will also go towards improving the Trust's Co-op building in Loftus.

The building's rooms will be refurbished giving it better conference facilities and disabled access.
