A service has been held for a father of three from Hartlepool whose body was found four months after he went missing from home.

A long-running police inquiry began when 36-year-old Darren Waller, described as a "loving dad" by his family, disappeared on 9 January.

His body was found in Ainderby Walk on the town's Central Estate on 18 May.

A service was held for Mr Waller at Hartlepool's Stranton Grange Crematorium on Friday.

Cleveland Police said a post-mortem examination was inconclusive and there would be more tests but his death was not being treated as suspicious.
