Driver dies as car hits pub wall in Croft

A North Yorkshire man died when the car he was driving crashed into the wall of a pub after he suffered a suspected heart attack.

Andrew Craig Dunster was pronounced dead at the scene on the A167 at Croft, near Darlington, on Saturday.

A post-mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death of the 48-year-old, from Valley Road in Northallerton.

Durham Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident at 13:45 BST.

Mr Dunster's Ford Galaxy had come to a stop in Hurworth Place, before reversing and colliding with the wall of the Comet public house.
