Two arrested after pedestrian dies in Teesside crash

Two men have been arrested after a pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a car on Teesside.

The crash happened on Stockton Road between Middlesbrough and Thornaby at about 10:40 GMT.

Police said it involved a green Volvo. No details of the dead man have yet been released.

One man, 37, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and a 55-year-old man on suspicion of obstructing police.
