Driver charged over Stockton Road pedestrian death

A man has been charged after a pedestrian was killed on a road on Teesside.

Alan Brown, 65, was struck by a vehicle on Stockton Road, between Middlesbrough and Thornaby, on 31 October.

The recently retired road sweeper, from the Billingham area, died a short time later.

A 37-year-old man will appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on 25 June to face a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.
