Hartlepool earmarks three more traveller sites

Three more areas have been put forward as potential Gypsy and traveller sites in Hartlepool.

Hartlepool Council asked for ideas on locations and how the borough should develop over the next 15 years.

Briarfields, off Elwick Road, land at Clarence Road and an area in Huckelhoven Way have been added to the 13 previously earmarked locations.

The council said one site, or two small sites, would be chosen to house between six and 10 traveller pitches.

Other shortlisted sites include land in West View Road, Throston Grange Lane or Burbank Street.

A consultation into the plans has begun will end on 26 July.
