A park in Middlesbrough could be used by a college to develop a new training centre.

Under the plans, York-based Askham Bryan College would develop the new centre in the Victorian estate buildings at Stewart Park.

The Grade II-listed Central Lodge and adjacent depot are currently being used as offices and storage space.

Public access to the park would not be affected, and people have until 11 August to comment on the plans.

The new centre would be used for training in courses including horticulture, arboriculture, floristry and animal husbandry.
