Stockton's Teesdale area to get revamp

A neglected area of Teesside that has prompted complaints to the council is to get a £250,000 upgrade.

For years residents have been complaining about lack of maintenance around the rivers and canals in a privately-owned area of Teesdale.

Now Stockton Council is to invest money in revamping the area and will taken over its future maintenances.

The work replacing pavements and damaged trees, as well as installing new lighting, will take five months.
