Darlington teenager killed in A66 barrier crash named

A teenager who was killed after his car left the road and crashed into a barrier on the A66 near Darlington, has been named.

Tyrone Singh was driving a silver Hyundai Getz westbound on the A66 at Long Newton when the crash happened at about 00:15 BST on 15 April.

The 18-year-old from the Darlington area later died of his injuries at James Cook University Hospital.

His 18-year-old female passenger was uninjured in the crash.
